How to Organise your Shoes

We all know that having more than 5 pairs of shoes can result in your shoe area looking cluttered.  It is not easy to organise your shoes unless you have proper organisation systems in place to store them. If you are like me, you will have a few pairs of heels (in various inches), flats, flip flops, sandals, trainers, loafers and of course the boots which are worn for a few short weeks on holiday once a year.

So which system is best for you?  To help you organise them easily here are my favourite storage solutions and ideas to store your various types of shoes.

1. Shoe Heel Holder from

A clever way to store your heels inside your cupboard from

. It ensures the shoes don't get damaged and also stay in position in your cupboard.

2. Shoe cubby -

3. Shoe book case -

This idea by

is a clever, inexpensive idea. The Billy book shelf was bought in

IKEA

and the shelves were adjusted to fit the various sizes of shoes.

I use a similar system for my handbags and jewellery (but with less shelving...).

3. 12 Pair Shoe Organizer -

This shoe organiser from the

Container Store

(they ship to the UAE and GCC region now!) is a great price and a good size to fit in your closet. Perfect for loafers and low heeled shoes, as well as your flats.

4. Hangers

If you have several pairs of boots, this is a great way to store them safely in your closet. It means you won't lose space in your shoe cabinet, plus they won't loose shape being hung like this.

5. The Louboutin Box

Finally, the best organiser I have seen here in the Middle East has to be this one from the Wood Sheikh.  I love the handy work on this and that you can get it in various designs. The box for trainers would be a great present for any trainer lovers in your life.
